BN Detects 3,696 Phantom Voters In Permatang Pasir

BUKIT MERTAJAM, Aug 24 (Bernama) -- The Barisan Nasional (BN) claimed that it had detected 3,696 phantom voters in the Permatang Pasir state constituency, which is having a by-election Tuesday.

Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan said based on BN's study report on voters' attitude for the by-election, these voters could not be traced from the addresses given in the electoral roll.

"When we went to give the voting slips to a house which was supposed to have 14 registered voters, we found there were only seven voters registered with that house address.

"We could not trace the other seven. We were told by the house owner that they never knew these named seven 'voters'," he said at a press conference, here, Tuesday.

Maslan said 961 phantom voters were detected in Sama Gagah, 95 in Permatang Ara, 284 in Permatang Pauh, 142 in Bukit Indera Muda, 216 in Kampung Pelet, 329 in Kubang Semang, 74 in Tanah Liat Mukim 8, 1,181 in Kampung Cross Street 2 and 414 in Permatang Tengah.

"We have a complete list of voters who could not be traced based on the registered addresses.

"We suggest that the Election Commission (EC) list the voters in the constituency according to the addresses given to facilitate verification," he said, adding that there were Chinese voters registered with the addresses of Malay homes.

Asked whether BN doubted the EC's electoral roll, Ahmad Maslan said this did not happen in previous elections, but Permatang Pasir seemed to be a special case.

He also urged the phantom voters not to vote tomorrow to enable only the eligible ones to do so.

BN's Rohaizat Othman, 38, who is the Permatang Pauh Umno division secretary, is facing Penang PAS commissioner Mohd Salleh Man, 52, in the by-election.

Followed a friend to acquire one special weed yesterday. No, not 'that' weed y'all, but 'Horny Goat Weed'! A medicinal herb supposedly can enhance 'performance' taken mostly by 'Horny Not-So Old Man'. Supposedly contained aphrodisiac properties and was discovered by Chinese shepherds when they noticed sudden increase in sexual activities in the herd. ;-)

I always like sunrise and sunset. Sun rays sometime combined with scattering clouds always produce panoramic view.

Photography used to be expensive and limited to connoisseurs and hobbyist who's willing to spend thousand of dollars and hours of their spare time just to get the perfect shot.

Photography used to be exclusive to experts from magazines and newspapers such as National Geography and Playboy. ;-)

But now, with digital photography, the market is flooded with cheaper digital camera models. Now, editing software such as Photochop is easily available for layperson just like me and your grandma.

And now, everybody claims they are the experts in photography.
The big question is, is this signals the demise of professionals photographers in the future.

So guys and gals, do visit a friend's site who aspires to be one of the many thousand professional photographers. I'll hope he'll make it! ;-)

Very important rules:
No. 1 - Never try to dupe your investors or shareholders.
No.2 - Always be prepared when you go and have a chat with your shareholders and always get the facts right.
No.3 - Please be consistent with the company's decision.
No.4 - Very important rule is to be confident and sounds confident when you talk to the shareholders.

TM share, within a week, went down from RM3.30 to RM2.54, that is almost 25% lost of value for the shareholders! TM is not a Sdn. Bhd. company, it's not even a 2nd board company. For fark sake this is a 1st board company and a 'GLC'. How can they allow this 'fiasco' if the people's money (i.e. EPF, PNB, etc) are invested heavily in TM. With this 'fiasco', the bigger question is how competent the current management of TM is?

Now they've just introduced:

Why la so many?

a.Road sign in various language - Why want to waste money?
b.30% bumi equity abolishment citing it can be more globally competetive - Putting races aside, are we as Malaysian really ready for globalisation?
c.Public debate by certain aspirants to gain more grassroot support - Do people give a fark about this anymore? Come on! More like 'Shiok Sendiri depa ni!'.
d.Eurocopter deal suspended, money will be used for people's project. - Hah, after all the commotion they decided to suspend the project. Not surprising at all! So what happen to all the big projects that were silently awarded?
The list can go on and on since people are basically stupid fark!

In a suprising volta-face, the premier announced yesterday that the ruling coalition has decided to fully support the Mentri Besar candidate proposed by the Trengganu Regency Advisory Council.

He was quoted saying this:
"It's not a question of losing face because what is more important was that the matter has been resolved" - resolved it is not, as yoda would say.

"We are aware that the RAC has made the decision that Ahmad is the person they want for Mentri Besar... and Idris has said he will accept whoever is chosen including Ahmad." - Why bother with the three weeks fiasco then, if he already said this.

And there was this statement on the news saying on why there was no compromise for a third person to be the Mentri Besar, can you guess the anwer?....." the details were not for the press to know".

WTF! I wonder what is the real truth behind all these farce!

I do not understand that why some people just do not understand the real meaning of 'personal opinion'. Are we not in a democratic state whereby we are entitled to personal opinions? The last time i checked we are still not under socialist or even communist rule. Don't these supposedly wise experienced state-persons have any idea what is the difference between 'personal opinions' and 'collective opinions'? Is that when you join a group or specifically a political party, you don't entitled to your own personal opinions. Without critics, no person can improves and by the way, not all personal opinions are negative. There are what the wise called constructive criticism from these personal opinions. I guess these critics, who voiced out their personal opinions, are mostly honest and sincere about what they say, and one thing for sure, they got balls - and i salute them for that. Oh yeah, to all the 'yes Pak Lah' persons out there - you guys are just 'Suck-up's! Capisci!

Election 2008 - Shocking indeed, but totally expected

Shocking inded, but totally expected...... Election 2008 will surely go down into Malaysian history as BN worst defeat ever! From a landslide victory in 2004, BN lost 5 states to the opposition last nite. They lost Selangor, Perak (these two are even more shocking!), Penang and Kedah while UMNO kelantan are annihilated. Gerakan, which is supposedly to be the 'voice' of the chinese community was totally annihilated by the DAP. I wonder whether MCA is still relevant or not? What make it much more sweeter to the opposition is BN does not even gain back the 2/3 majority in the parliaments.

Overconfident from BN side perhaps contribute to their big losses, but personally i think it's more toward the 'rakyat' frustration to the current leadership. The people has spoken and this is a clear indication that "something is not right somewhere in the current government". Not condemning anybody, but it think strong leadership image is crucial in winning the election anywhere in the world. PKR got back their 'strong' leader and this boost their image, while BN component parties lacked this 'strong' leadership. I wonder whether these current leadership in BN is still relevant or not?

Well, i don't normally update my blog this frequent. Twice in a week! Shocking indeed... but this is a subject that worth updating and i'm pretty sure will be talked and discussed over and over again over teh tarik for a long long time, until the next election perhaps.

Just finished reading a book by a local author 'Dina Zaman' titled 'I am muslim'. Verdict is interesting, wham-bam smack in the face and one more thing - sial la ,more questions than answers! Good toilet reading material while doing the number 2. He he he. Managed to finish up the book in 6-hour waiting time (yep, 6 freaking hours!!!) while waiting the train at Surat Thani train station en ruote to Butterworth from Koh Samui.

Balik Kampung.....

As the eve of hari raya approaches, these past few days, we saw the exodus of city dwellers going 'balik kampung'. Be it in KL or Jakarta, this 'balik kampung' culture is still alive and will be around a lot longer than some ppl tought.

I had my fair share of 'balik kampung' during my schooling years. fav transportation for me at that time is the train . Each of the journey back was an adventure by itself and i was always looking forward when to 'balik kampung'... Walking from one end of the train to the other end, hang out at the f&b coach and at the coach-stairs (which btw is dangerous n not recommended), checking out the chicks from co-ed schools (us coming from all boys school). Once, we, my batch mates and i, booked one whole train coach for raya 'balik kampung' and can u imagine the havoc at that time.

Other experiences also included when my glasses fall to the rail-track as the train started to move (i was, let's just say, handicapped the whole journey) These enriching experiences i can safely say made what i am today...what a lovely time during those years...roger n out for now and i would like to take this opportunity to wish all the moslems ~ SELAMAT HARI RAYA DAN MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN~
